Flood Aid Badge 2013

Reception by Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Seehofer at the Palace Oberschleißheim on the occasion of the award of the flood aid badge 2013. Mr. Seehofer thanked the managing director Mr. Demel and Sales Manager Mr. Wuka for the excellent work of the badges made in Schrobenhausen.

History

For more than 240 years, POELLATH has been family-owned. A proud company history which shows how we steadily modernised and realigned our company in order to adjust to all the different market conditions. In this process, we have also developed new, trendsetting business sectors without neglecting our core competency - the embossing of metal.

 

1778

Foundation of the company by Johann Christoph Abraham. 

1779

Council of Magistracy Abraham die. Widow Ursula marries needler Carl Poellath from Landshut in the same year

1825

Award of the bronze alabaster medals by king Maximilian I. Joseph  of Bavaria and queen Karoline.

1833

Ursula Poellath dies. Carl Poellath marries Josepha Geiger from Lauingen

1834

Carl Poellath dies. Josepha Poellath marries Josef Hitl.

1873

Poellath receive several awards during the world exhibition in Brussels.

1876

Foundation of the branch Schwabmünchen (over 100 employees worked as rosary looper).

1884

Relocation of the company from the historical district of Schrobenhausen to the present location.

1895 - 1902

Steam power is replaced by electrical engineering in production. Our own electro-plating is furnished. 

1906

Another line of business is opened: the embossing of votive medals, organisation badges and medals.

1907

Family Greiner acquieres the property rights.

1909

Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich praise Poellath*s ambitions in public ceremony as "unusually systematic promotion of the arts of medals" 

1910

Poellath receives several gold medals at the world exhibition in Brussels and is announced purveyor to the pontifical and royal Bavarian court 

1936

Poellath produces and delivers the official badges and tags for the Olympic Games in Berlin

1978

POELLATH changes to GmbH & Co. KG

1992 - 2001

Continuous modernisation of the production

2003

Poellath celebrates the 225th company anniversary 

2009

The company is increasingly entering the Automotiv division and is becoming an OEM for embossed Porsche emblems.

2010

The official championship medals of the 1st and 2nd Soccer League are produced at the factory.

2012

Poellath produce a special "90 years BMW Motorcycles" Bagde.

2013

The official flood aid badges were produced by Poellath

 

2016

The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.
